If a biopsy of the soft tissue was performed, with an indication of investigatiomn of inflammatory, would the ICD-9 be vasculitis or neoplasm of unknown origin?

You cannot code a neoplasm from the information you have listed. I do not see vasculitis from what you have given what was the reason for the bx? soft tissue inflammation? It is best to wait for the path but you do not documentation to support a 238.x or a 239.x or a 199.1
