Laparoscopic nephrectomy ?
Op note says kidney removed in its entirety..Gerota's fascia was not entered..
Without Gerota's fascia being removed 50545 is not the correct code to use ? would this then be 50546 ?

Any help appreciated

With nephrectomies, I always wait for the path to come back to make sure they didn't take any other structures. I've gotten fooled once or twice where the dictation wasn't crystal clear.

BUT, to answer your actual question, if only the kidney and part of ureter was taken, it's 50546 if Lap and 50220 open.
