Trying to do some research on CMS website about nephrology and dialysis billing, but unable to locate anything. Is it mandatory for a physician to be present when dialysis is done at a dialysis center, in order to bill for it? My understanding is that a visit prior and actual dialysis in lumped into one monthly charge.
