Can I bill for a placement of a ventriculostomy if my doctor did a resection of a brain tumor or is it included in the procedure. If its not included in the procedure and I can bill for it what code should I use for the ventriculostomy? Any help is appreciated. :)
 
Typically, you would report 61210 for the ventriculostomy; however, 61210 would be inclusive to the resection (i.e. 61510) and not separately reportable. 61107 does exist but this is performed via twist burr hole; which is still not separatley reportable.
