I have a coding scenerio I would like input on. My DR. did a 2 level ALIF where he put two different kinds of instrumentation on each of the levels. He coded it as 22845 x 2. I believe even though it is two different types of instrumentation he should still bill it 22846 because he covered 4 or more vetebral segments. Any thoughts of suggestions would be appreciated.
