Hey All,

I will be billing for an acupuncturist (LAc) who just opened up his practice. Is he supposed to submit NPI and TIN paperwork to the insurances he will be billing to? He will be NON PARTICIPATING.

Thank you!

From my company if you are nonpar once they get a claim billed in, they will pend the claim and do research on the tin# and NPI# for set up. If there are questions make sure you have your ph# on there somewhere on the claim if they need to contact you on questions. If you're PAR that is different you will need to make sure your PR or contract contact at the plan has all of your info for provider set up.
