New born born to diabeties mother

I am coding for facility based physician group.

New born record documentation doesn't have any Neonatal diabetic effect and/or complications.

I use v30.xx and v29.3 (Observation of new born for suspected genetic/metabolic condition) instead of 775.0 (Syndrome of infant of diabetic mother).

please clarify which is proper code to use.

You are correct in reporting the V30.xx and V29.3 codes when there is no diabetic effect or complications.
