Hello!
Just looking for clarification.
The doctor I bill for occasionally bills 66984/66982 with 66180.
With the new code that has been created, would you just code 66989/66991?

We haven't been able to update our billing team with any training courses, because we want everyone to be present for the presentation, and COVID/illnesses keep us from doing this.

The new combo code is for the iStent or Hydrus being done with cat sx. You would have previously been billing them as 66984 and 0191T. The cat III code was deleted as of Jan 1 2022. The 66180 is for the Ahmed tube/express shunt and you would continue to code that separately.

Hi
Standard cataract w/istent is 66991
Complete cataract w/istent is 66989
I am billing the cataract dx primary and the glacuoma dx secondary
Still waiting for insurances to process to see if it worked... not sure how many insurances have updated their codesets

Hi,
I'm curious to know if you have had any issues w/ reimbursement w/ code 66991?
Have you continued to submit primary code as the cataract and glaucoma as secondary?
