I am confused about the new diagnosis coding for Covid.... so the U07.1 is no longer valid? How do we just code for covid positive results? We have clinics that have positives and nothing else.
I also code ERs and have patients that test positive, and have classic covid symptoms. The last Er I ran through the encoder, I got all the symptoms like SOA, cough, muscle aches, etc, with the final code of coronoavirus as the cause of diseases elsewhere... any help is appreciated! Thanks
