I have recently been hired with a new private SLP startup company and they asked if I have/need a Medicaid number. This is my first position (and their company is brand new) so we are both beginners. Thanks in advance!

Billers, coders, and administrative staff don't have Medicare/Medicaid numbers.
Providers who services will be billed under do. If you're a provider who plans to bill for services with Medicare, Medicaid, or other insurance, you should be credentialed with those plans.
Thank you! She's an SLP and she has her medicaid number, individual and group NPI, etc. Is there anything
otherwise she needs to do to get me credentialed or ready to serve as her billing agent?
