Hello,
If a patient was seen for a consult as an inpatientl and then the consulting provider saw the patient in their office two days later, would this be coded as a new or established patient? Thank you.

It doesn't matter what setting the patient was seen in, since the provider has seen and evaluated them, even though it was in the hospital, they are established.
