a new patient comes into ortho clinic for Complex Regional Syndrome and receives injection this day. Would it be correct to add the 25 modifier to the E/M 99204 since this was not a schedulde procedure? Thank you for your help.
 
Yes, if the doctor decided to do the injection during the course of the visit then I would add a -25 modifier to the E/M service.
