I would really appreciate some sort of document to show my GI doc that the visit before a screening colonoscopy is included in the "work" of the procedure. He is coding a 99203 with diags of 250.00 and 401.9 which is wrong on many levels. For the moment I am concentrating on the inclusive nature of the visit before(if the patient is stable medically). Didn't congress adress this issue a while back?
