i work in a multispecialty group - I am an FP but I only do urgent care exclusively - if the patient had previously been seen by another FP in the practice but has never been seen in our urgent care - do I still bill the patient as an established patient or a new patient? thank you for your input.

I'm not familiar with Urgent Care coding, but I don't think that would be an issue in differentiating between new or established patients. From the info you posted, you and the other docs are same specialty (FP); therefore if they have been seen in your practice in the last 3 years at all, they are considered established.
