Hello

If one of our doctor's see a new patient in the hospital and then after discharge they see the same patient in the office. Can the office visit be billed as a new patient? I thought I read somewhere that the doctor would be allowed to charge for a new patient but now I cannot find where I read it. Thank you for your help! :)
 
No, the office visit cannot be billed as a new patient because they've already established care with the patient in the hospital.
