I recently was offered a position with a teaching hospital in the PEDs coding department. I was curious if anyone had any advice as to what I should really brush up on before I start. I'm coming from a family practice clinic that has a pediatrician but I'm going into a hospital setting. I will be coding outpatient cases. Please any advice is welcomed!

Like family practice, pediatrics covers a wide range of codes. I would highly recommend buying the Coding For Pediatrics 2014 book from the AAP. I have used this book in the past and found it very beneficial. I am waiting for my new one to come in!
