If there is a new physician joining the practice and his credentialing is pending can we bill Medicare under another physician who is already credentialed?

If anyone has any insight, please let me know. My boss is looking for an answer but I don't do credentialing so he asked me to put the question on the forums. Thank you!
 
No you may not bill a new physician using another physician NPI, as you do with incident to for NPPs. If you search the forums this question has been addressed in the past with links to the Medicare manual for this issue.
