Here's my scenerio: A new OB patient presents to the office, (I'm from a state where the initial OB visit can be charged) and she has her 1st OB ultrasound by one of our NP's. She's suppose to see the MD but he's been called out for a delivery. The patient reschedules her inital OB appt. When she returns to the office for her initial OB visit, I believe that should be coded as an established patient, not a new patient. Am I correct?
