Our facility is now with Amkai and was wondering if anyone else is billing two separate procedures/and specialities on 1 claim form?

Per a prior audit- to ensure correct reibmursement and application of multiple procedure discount, all procedures should be billed on the same claim form.

I bill separate procedures/specialties on the same claim for the same dos. Ended up having to do that because payers denied years ago saying I couldn't bill 2 claims for the same pt for the same dos. Does your system not allow that? if you can't do it in the charge entry piece, does the system have way to adjust your 'billing and claim formatting' so that you can hit a 'yes' somewhere where it says 'merge charges from the same dos, multiple providers'? We use Vision and it allows me to enter charges from different providers on one claim for the same dos.
