Hi! Anyone have a cheat sheet or list of payers that are using the new 98XXX telehealth codes and which are following Medicare and continuing to use the 992XX codes?
Hi, thanks for the info! It definitely outlines the new codes well, but I'm looking for info on what the commercial payers/Medicare advantage plans are going to follow since Medicare will not recognize the new codes. It's making things so much more complicated than it should be.I found that the link below is useful to understand the changes of 2025 in Telehealth Codes easily.
Hope this will be helpful to you as well!
I have not yet come across any carrier that has explicitly stated to use the new telehealth codes. Some have stated they will follow Medicare. Others haven't said anything.Hi, thanks for the info! Appropriate POS is mandatory to avoid denials.Hi, thanks for the info! Hi, we are having issues with getting our claims out with the new codes. The clearinghouse keeps rejecting stating they are not valid codes. I have set the POS to 2 and added the correct modifiers to claims. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!Hi, we started billing the new codes for the commercial payers with the modifiers 95 or 93 based on the documents and the claims got paid.
