Can someone help me understand when/how to use these codes? Our EMR is not displaying 93271 now, and shows 0306T as correct code when trying to put in 93271. I would appreciate any help!

93271 is External; Patient can active during symptoms by pressing button. ECG leads are attached to the pts chest and Memory loop can record up to 30 days patients rhythm. These is for when data is transmitted over the telephone line (transtelephonic monitoring or TTM)

0306T is Intracardiac; a standard Pacemaker lead/device is implanted in Right ventricle. The implanted device or IMD (ischemic monitoring device) send a signal to a external pager usually worn on the belt. The external alarm device emits a vibration, sound and a light indicating a cardiac event is going on and emergency medical treatment is needed.

93271 is to evaluate the patient's ambient heart rhythm during symptoms
where as 0306T analyzes and records cardiac data to detect ischemic events
