Well hello there AAPC fam!

I have recently took on the billing/coding job for one of my chiropractic friends, however this would be my first go at it. I have been a CPC for over two years but all of my experience has been in billing/coding for hospitalist for inpatient and outpatient services so this chiropractic gig is a new playing field for me. I want to make sure that I study up so can ya'll give me some tips on some of the best resources I can use out there that will help me get a better grip on how to make sure I am doing the best I can for my friend. Thanks in advance for any help, I so truly appreciate it!

Hello-

I have three suggestions. The first is to download the LCD for your area from CMS/MAC. The second is to get in touch with your state's chiropractic society.

And lastly- search the past issues of Health Care Business Monthly. They run occasional articles covering chiropractic coding.

These should give you a good start!
