Do we code the closure of the skin? Hope this makes sense. :confused:

If you're coding something in the musculoskeletal system then no you cannot code for wound closure because it's included in the payment.

But if the doctor removes a lesion or cyst and you're coding 11400-11446 and they state they did intermediate, or layered, closure then you can also code 12031-12057.
