Hi all!

I am new to plastic surgery billing, I am trying to get the billing for this plastic surgeons group that according to the doctor Medicare has not paid him on any breast reconstructive surgeries after a mastectomy for implants. Is there a specific way medicare needs to be billed in order to get "medically necessary" implants paid?

Please help
 
I have not had any issues with Medicare paying for reconstructions following mastectomy. What codes are you billing? A description of the procedures that the doctor is performing or an op note and the codes that you are billing would be helpful to try and answer your question.
