Hello my name is CJ I relocated to Texas from Indianapolis Aug 2019. I passed CPC my exam Dec 2018 on the 3rd try and I have not landed a job as a coder. I have 15 yrs of health care experience and I am familiar with ICD9 before ICD10 codes were implemented. Are there any programs that offer a refresher course or job shadowing? I don't want to forget what I've learned and let my certification lapse. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
 
Make sure you attend your local chapter meetings. You'll earn CEUs, be able to network with coders in the area, and may learn of job openings.
