I am getting rejections for vaccine 90646 saying it is not a valid code for 2016. Any idea what is the new code for this vaccine???/

New vaccine code for 90646 ????

I was advised in a presentation that there were multiple vaccine codes deleted as they are no longer available in the US. This was one of the codes listed meaning there isn't a replacement code

So if my provider is still giving these vaccines there is no new code to bill ?? I will hve to inform the provider...thank you!!

The code was deleted because that product is no long available in the US. It is probable that you have been using the wrong code as these vaccines have not been available In the US for some time.

There is no replacement for 60669 either. This also is a vaccine no longer available in the US.

What products are you using to vaccinate your patients.? For example we use Prevnar13 and Pneumovax, the codes for those are 90670 and 90723. The best advice would be to look at the product you use and research the product web site for coding and billing information. Product information sheets are always my first go-to.
