As of April 1, 2010 the hospital system I work for purchased an independent physicians practice. The practice will be a department of the hospital. The practice location stays the same and it's still a Family Medicine practice. Different community physicians will be covering the practice as we recruit a permanent full-time physician.

So would the patients be new or established?

Established

Established if the provider (or a partner in the practice with the same specialty) has seen the patient for ANY face-to-face service in the last 3 years.
