Hi everyone!
I was sort of thrown into the position of medical biller when our biller was fired. I have been trying so hard to understand everything and I am also taking the online prep course to take the exam to get certified. I had a quick question if anyone has any input. I work for a small family practice clinic and occasionally our doctors will go over to a local nursing home and treat some of the patients. I just had one ask me if I could figure out what she could bill out for a specific visit. The patient was admitted to the nursing home, then left and went to the hospital, returned to the nursing home where my doc did a visit where she went over all conditions and medications and such. Since this is a re-admission, does medicare allow for an Initial visit or would this be considered a subsequent visit?

Thank you!
