I tried to post this yesterday but cannot find it. I hope this is not a repeat.

I have a sick newborn. The first physician submitted 99464 and 99222 for the day of birth. On the same day the second physician submitted 99291 as he cared for the infant as he awaited transport to another hospital. The child was discharged from our facility the next calendar day. Can I submit all these codes? If not what can I submit?

I don't get any CCI edits when these three codes are entered together so I would bill all three of them.

Thanks, however, guidelines state "Codes 99291 and 99292 are also reported for neonatal and pediatric critical care provided by a physician at one facility who is transferring a patient to another facility".
