What relationship code should go in FL 59 according to the following Payer enrollment and billing guidelines?
Payer enrollment guidelines state:
A child born to one of the subscriber’s dependent children will be eligible for coverage from birth through 18 months of age.
There are also billing guidelines that state: Subscriber information should be submitted with the subscriber's ID w/o the suffix. **The subscriber's first and last name (NOT the mothers name, unless she is the subscriber).
Claims do not make it into the payer system. They are returned on the 277 report as rejected. I think the rejection could be due to the relationship code. When speaking with a representative they are not able to give any additional input.
What is the correct/ best options under the patient relationship to Insured codes? 05- Grandchild , 24-Minor dependent of a minor dependent, or "G8" Other relationship
