The intent was to repair an inguinal hernia but when entering the area no sac was identified the physician dissected free of the other cord structures and reduced into the preperitoneal space. Inguinal floor was the reconstructed using a precute keyhole piece of mesh.
Preop and Post op dx was noted as inguinal hernia are we ok with billing 49505?
Please any help would be appreciated:confused:
