No reimbursement after first day of observation

Hi, we are not getting reimbursement after the first day a patient is in observation. Patient is a Public Aid patient. Any idea we are not getting reimbursed?

What state are you in? By Public Aid, do you mean Medicaid? If so, the reimbursement rules can vary by state.

How many days of observation are you billing, and what code are you using? Some states have different billing codes that they want used for observation.

Are you billing for the physician or the facility?
