Does anyone else have issues with messaging an AAPC teacher and getting no response at all? I have messaged a few different people in relation to Webinars I have watched and not a one has responded at all. Can I say how discouraging this is. That even the people presenting can't take the time to answer questions. I really feel that AAPC is becoming more of a money grab than truly helping it's members.

When you say you messaged an AAPC teacher, do you mean an instructor for a course you’re currently enrolled in?

If you’re actively taking a course and you email the instructor using the contact information listed in the syllabus, that communication should generate a ticket number. If you have a ticket number and haven’t received a response within the stated turnaround time, I would definitely reply to the original email and reference that ticket number so it can be escalated. That’s something that should be resolved.

Regarding webinar presenters, I can understand how that would feel discouraging. At the same time, many regular presenters receive a very high volume of messages across multiple platforms (email, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.). I can’t speak to any specific situation, but sometimes messages end up in filtered folders, get overlooked during especially busy periods, or are delayed due to work and personal obligations.

Many presenters are volunteering their time outside of their regular jobs. Most genuinely want to share knowledge and help answer questions, but at times the volume of requests can become overwhelming. If you have the opportunity to attend a live chapter meeting where that speaker is presenting, asking your question in real time could be helpful. Or perhaps email them again. You never know what was happening at the time they overlooked the original email.
