I'm trying to pin down the documentation requirements for non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies, CPT codes 93922, 93923 and 93924. Specifically, what documentation is required of the physician/provider who does the interpretation & report, as well as what documentation is required when the global procedure is provided in a physician's office. Appreciate any assistance or direction.

Non invasive vascular diagnostic studies

Hello,

I work for a mobile ultrasound company and we do these all the time, the biggest thing you need to remember is to make sure the icd9 code is on the LCD for medicare - this will ensure that it is medically indicated and should go thru the claim edits smoothly. :D
