Cardiology department is charging 93924 and 93017 during a Noninvasive Physiologic Study of Lower extremity rest and treadmill stress test.

I do not normally review Non Invasive procedures so I am questioning these codes that are being assigned.

I am questioning the charge of CPT code 93017 as this is for a Cardio Stress: tracings only.

The H&P does not state any symptoms only the due to leg claudication and ABI treadmill stress will be ordered.

Is it common to charge/code for these two procedures?

This is being performed in a hospital.

This is the op report:
The op report is as follows:

INTERPRETATION
1. The patient was able to exercise on the treadmill for a total of 6
minutes at 2 miles per hour.
2. The patient's baseline ABI was 1.15 on the right and 1.26 on the
left.
3. Baseline EKG showing normal sinus rhythm, normal limit axis.
4. During the treadmill the patient had left calf pain.
5. During treadmill, the patient had no chest pain or shortness of
breath. No ST-T wave changes.
6. Immediately after stopping the treadmill the patient's ABIs were 1.08
on the right and 1.12 on the left.

IMPRESSION
