Wiki NP billing please help

If a NP is billing their work under a physician's NPI, when the NP is not credentialed, is a face to face required by the physician?:D
 
What I know about it, if the NP is not credentialed they cannot see any new patient's or new diagnosis; they can only see previously diagnosed issues that the overseeing physician has seen them for. The physician has to be in house but does not have to have face to face with the patient but does have to review and sign off on the chart.
