NP Inpatient consult signature

When our NP's do inpatient consults, do their signatures have to be documented any differently than a physician's performing the same service? We are getting unclear feedback on how our NP's consults should be signed off.
 
What kind of feedback are you getting?

As far as I know they should be documented and signed by the NP and billed under the NPs numbers.

Consults can not be split/shared or incident to.
