Does Nurse Practitioners have admitting priviledges? I have a subsequent hospital care note that one of my NP's saw the patient on the same day the pt was admitted. Not sure if I can bill for that?

I see I misunderstood. I think you should check with the facility to see if the NPP has admit privileges. As far as can they by liscensure,... I am not sure on that. anyone else know??
 
I agree with Debra.

A NP may have admitting privileges based on their scope of practice under their state law. As Debra mentioned, this may also be dictated by hospital policy.
