Help my fellow cardiology coders! Our practice is taking multiple images and now are looking at the wall motion and ejection fraction at rest and at stress. My nuc tech just told me that some of the registry personnel had asked him if we bill the wall study and ejection fraction two times, because they have done it on the other practices that they go to. The code itself does not state that it is for multiple study. Has anyone bill these two add on codes with the quantity of 2 or bill the codes 2x and gotten paid? Or is there any other codes that I can use to bill, 1 for rest and 1 for stress? Or we can even do it, at all???
