I would like to know what day to bill a 2-day stress test in office. We have been billing on the 1st day since this is the first day in the office. I have been told that it is billed on 2nd day is this true and why?

From a compliance standpoint any testing, office visits etc., should not be billed until a final report has been signed by the radiologist/physician. If you currently are billing before the report is signed for a nuclear study you are committing fraud as the diagnosis based on the final report may not be correct or coded to the highest level of specificity....I would suggest some changes to your office procedures...
