I bill for a cardiologist and he has recently added a nurse practioner and another office has informed me it is their understanding a NP cannot bill for stress test. Has anyone ever heard of this ??
 
Check out the scope of practice for NPs in your state. CMS will pay for services provided by NPPs based on the scope of practice in their state. So it could be ok in some places and not in others.
