We are a telemedicine psychiatric clinic. We are looking to to add nurse practitioners to our clinic and had a questions in regards to the contracting.

We are contracted with most major insurances except for Aetna. We have a few NPs that we are considering to hire that do fall as an in network provider for Aetna.
Is it possible to see Aetna members as the NP being the contracted one and bill for the services even though our clinic is not an in network provider only the NP will be?

That can be tricky. If the billing NPI (group) is out of network, but the rendering NPI (the NP) is in network, there is still a risk that the claims would be processed as out of network. You may want to reach out to Aetna contracting regarding that.
