I have a question, I work in an ocology/hematology practice and we wanted to bill for the nurse time, Is that doable, for instance if a patient comes in only to recieve chemotherapy and does not see the doctor, can we bill a 99211 on the same day as chemo?

No you may not bill a 99211 for chemo administration. The codes for the chemo administration include any nursing time involved for the administration of the chemo drugs including supervision of the patient. The reason there are different codes for chemo admin and why they pay more than other IV admin codes is because it does require more nursing time and expertise.
