We have an optometrist who is looking into providing nursing home visits in the near future. We have heard a lot of issues with the billing for these visits when it comes to the 92xxx codes and POS. Does anyone do these and bill for them successfully, headache free? Any information would be helpful as we get ready to dive into this project.
 
We don't do nursing home visits but I have billed out nursing home visits for other providers in the past without any issues. I think the big thing is that you use nursing home place of service 31 for SNF or 32 for NF and you should be fine. It would be worth a try it.
