Greetings everyone.. Could anyone offer any suggestions on how to proceed with the coding of these types of services in a professional office setting? At the moment, there are only face to face encounters, but any suggestion as to group coding would help to include. Payers are Medicaid, Commercial, and most tricky..Medicare. Thank you for your responses and input. Don't forget your 5th digits;)
 
There are CPT codes for nutritional counseling and there is the set of codes for education and training for patient self management which has codes for different size groups. It just depends on the nature of the counseling and who is providing it.
