How would you code a diabetes nutritional counseling session with a registered dietician or other qualified nutritional professional??? This would be follow up visits through out the year ? I was told that you use the S codes but those are not medicare billable.... confused!

Individual training: CPT: G0108 30 minute unit Group training: CPT: G0109 30 minute unit With ICD-9 codes: Diabetes 250.00-250.93 Impaired Glucose Tolerance 790.20-790.22, 790.29-
 
follow up question

Thanks! So I could use the G codes but what about 97802 & 97803 for nutritional therapy svcs I know you use CPT codes first then you go to the HCPCs so why wouldn't I just stick with the CPT's I am asking becuase a diabetes provider was told only a diabetes center can bill the s codes ? So I am trying to help her out, my area is OB/GYN so I am just trying to nail it down before I give my opinion.
