We are having issues with denials and NV medicaid. We are using Z00.129 as the primary dx. The child has no other problems and is not having vaccines. All claims have come back if we used the Z00.129 stating it needs additional dx. Medicaid has been called and they have no answers. Any suggestions??
 
yes we are using the preventative code, and since the child is well and no vaccines were needed at the visit, we are using the Z00.129.
