I'm wondering how others bill for deliveries after previous c-sections; for example if pt had previous c-section and now has vaginal birth (for global) would 59610 be billed? If pt had previous c-section and now has scheduled c-section would 59510 be billed? If pt had previous c-section and attempted vag delivery but ended up with a c-section would 59618 be billed?

Thanks for any input/suggestions.

If the patient is a vag birth after c-section you would use the 59610 code,for a repeat c-section you would use the code 59510 and for the attempted vag delivery/c-sect you would use the code 59618. Hope this helps.
