Can anyone tell me how their offices code for the first OB labs? What if the provider that will be managing their pregnancy has not yet seen the patient? I think the question was do we use positive pregnancy test for all the labs and possibly an ultrasound for stuff before the doc sees the patient? Do insurances pay for that dx and all those tests? Can we use one of the supervision pregnancy codes for the labs and ultrasound even though the provider has not seen the patient-so is it really supervision? If you have any links that would be great.
