patient had 13 visits with us because of high risk pregnancy. She ended up having a fetal demise at 21 weeks. Would i code that as a 59400 since she had 13 visits?? or would it be another code?

Did they induce labor and do a vaginal delivery? If so, I'ld say bill the 59400 with modifier 22 if your provider did all the A/P care, delivery & P/P care AND she had the same ins. plan for the enitre period. I would also bill for extra visits in excess of the standard as E&M codes with the reason for extra care as dx.
 
yes they did! thank you. What dx code should i use. i was looking at 632 for under 22 weeks? what do u think?
